HP 3D glasses free for smartphones

Hewlett-Packard have developed this 3D glasses for videos in mobile phones. By just tilting the screen we can view the object widely. Its small and multi-angled. This multiangled helps to project the 3D image in  correct perspective in several spatial directions. To track the eye movements no special cameras are used. They have found a way to make images viewable in 3-D from angles up to 45 degrees from center in any direction -up, down, side-to-side or diagonally. That means viewers can see a person’s face with one ear blocked from view, but reveal the ear by swiveling the screen.

The scientists used nanotechnology to etch multiple circles with tiny grooves into a glass layer of the display. A special backlight technology is used in this 3D. A modern LCD monitor usually has a backlight that consists of LED strips along the bezel. A strip of LEDs along the edge doesn’t provide very even illumination, and so a diffuser must be used. A diffuser is basically a thin piece of plastic that takes the light source and spreads it evenly across the full width of the display.

The grooves bend light in a way that allows for 64 different points of view. By moving the screen, people will perceive two of those points of view at any one time, one with their left eye and one with their right. As a result, the image will appear in 3-D.

India’s Successful Launch of BrahMos Missile From Underwater

India succesfuly launched the brahMos Missile from underwater at at 2:10 PM on Wednesday (20th March 2013)  from a submerged platform in Bay of Bengal off the coast of Visakhapatnam.

first under-water- launched Missile B05 was successfully flight tested from Bay of Bengal off the coast of Visakhapatnam

This is a history that the missile took off vertically from the submerged platform for its full range of 290 kms. This is the first test-firing of an underwater supersonic cruise missile anywhere in the world and the missile travelled its complete range of over 290km. And this is first supersonic missile launched vertically from a submerged platfrom.BRAHMOS vertically installed in a modular launcher in the pressure hull of the submarine will increase the ‘offensive power’ of the vessel without compromising on its ‘defensive power’ as the torpedo tubes can be fully utilised for defence.

BrahMos CEO speaks about that, ” The BrahMos missile is fully ready for fitment in submarines in vertical launch configuration which will make the platform one of the most powerful weapon platforms in the world”.He also added that the performance of the missile during the test launch was perfect. Defence minister AK Antony congratulated DRDO scientists and Russian specialists also the officers of Indian Navy associated with the project for successful test launch of missile from an underwater platform.Officials said more than 10 trials of the missile had been carried out earlier. only few nation have this missile capablity. This will help to launch the warheads from underwater.

Under water river…

Have any one heard about underwater river…??

here about the amazing river…

The river is in Mexico :  Cenote Angelita Mexico.

See the pictures of the river and these amazing pictures were taken by Anatoly Beloshchin in the cave Cenote Angelita..

He talks about the river, “We are 30 meters deep, fresh water, then 60 meters deep– salty water and under me I see a river, island and fallen leaves… Actually, the river, which you can see, is a layer of hydrogen sulphide. It must be an unforgettable feeling once you’re there and see it with your own eyes”.

Book flipping scanner…

This is a BFS (breath first search) auto, robotic book digitizer, which can scan nearly 250 pages in one minute. Japan researchers had developed this scanner at the University of Tokyo’s Ishikawa Oku Laboratory.

There is a high speed page flipper and which flips the pages automatically after the scan and this is the flipper.

bfsauto2

And there is camera which scans the pages at a faster rate…  This system continuously observes 3D deformation of the each flipped page at 500 times per second, and recognizes the best moment for book image digitization at the highest quality using the newly constructed original algorithm in real-time.the high-definition camera captures the document so that both high-speed and high-definition performance is realized. The definition performance is enhanced to 400 pixels per inch.

This is system has:

high-speed fully-automated page flipping,

real-time 3D recognition of the flipped pages,

and high-accuracy restoration to a flat document image…
